What is it?
Poultry Porridge is a nutritious porridge for chickens to feed during the winter months. Feed as a treat, as part of a balanced diet. It may be fed in the morning or evening. Just add boiling water to create a porridge-like consistency and allow to cool a little before feeding.
What is it for?
We know that chickens need to eat more in cold weather in order to maintain their body temperature and stay warm. Lots of people still worry that their chickens will get cold and like to give porridge to warm them up. However, straight porridge oats don’t make a good porridge for chickens as they will not provide enough nutrients for egg production or feather growth. We created a healthier porridge for chickens so you can treat your hens and do them some good at the same time! Poultry Porridge should be fed alongside layers pellets, not instead of them.
How is it Made?
When creating Poultry Porridge we have used the best quality human-grade porridge oats and combined them with protein rich seeds and cereals to make a much healthier and nutritional porridge for chickens. Poultry Porridge contains our Super Seeds formula which is known for promoting condition and is a real favourite with your hens. We have also added black oil sunflower seeds which are rich in oil and easier to digest than the striped variety (in fact, the shells help to support digestion and the hearts are a good source of vitamin E for a healthy immune system) Added ground aniseed creates a delicious aroma which is hard to resist.
Feeding Instructions
Feed as a treat. Allow approximately 1 tablespoon per hen. Add hot water to create a porridge consistency and allow to cool. Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times. Porridge eating is a messy business and they may like to wash off their beaks!

STANDARD delivery: You should receive your order within 3-6 days depending on the delivery option you choose, however the vast majority take 2-4.

If you no longer wish to keep your purchase, you must inform us in writing within 14 days of accepting delivery. There will be a cost to collect the item, please see full return details.
IMPORTANT: The original product packaging must be free of damage or we will not accept the return, so please ensure your return protected well. For example, if you bought a pair of boots that came in a branded box do not tape the box and stick labels to it or this will be considered damage.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of certain types of products, such as respirator masks and face masks, for health and safety reasons.
